Zoom Meeting

Zoom web based conferencing system allows you to add virtual meeting room to any of your courses. Instructor can add an activity of zoom meeting in any course.

 

By using Zoom user can

  • Meet with students virtually for a formal class.
  • Can do a one to one meeting.
  • Can do meeting with small group of users.

Process to launch a meeting

  • Click the zoom activity to start a meeting.
  • Choose join Audio by computer and make sure your camera and microphones are plugged in.
  • Instructor can record the meeting by pressing Record Button. This will save meeting locally on system as in MP4 format.
  • Students can not record meeting as only host can record.
  • The link can be used as many times as user need.
  • Zoom is accessible on Mac-OS, Windows, IOS as well as on android mobile device.

 

Process to create URL

  • From the course page, click on “Customize this page” button and make the editing mode on.
  • Click on the “+” icon of the topic under which you want to add the Zoom meeting.
  • Select URL and click on Add button.
  • Enter desired name of meeting in corresponding field.
  • Under the content section paste the meeting link into external URL field.
  • When you are done with the setting, click on SAVE and RETURN to course
